Problem

Monitoring mobile devices such as cell phones (even when they are not operational) can provide a valuable set of information useful for many purposes: migration flow monitoring, border patrols, search and rescue operations, illegal activities monitoring and intelligence. Solution

For this purpose, CY4GATE proposes G-SINT, a GSM and Satellite Intelligence systems-composed of a GSM Interceptor and a Satellite Communications interceptor (Thuraya, ISAT-Pro, VSAT, GlobalStar). The GSM Interceptor is a passive interception and monitoring system which is totally transparent and undetectable by the operator and by the user. It performs simultaneous multi-network operations and tracking of targets even when they are not using the mobile phone; and is able to intercept and record all outgoing and incoming calls (voice, SMS and GPRS data). The Silent SMS Module allows the system to identify phones using phone numbers, and once identified-it enables the operator to follow TMSIs (data sent between a mobile phone and its network). It also alerts the operator when a target is in the interceptor’s coverage area. The Satellite Communication Interceptor is a fully passive and undetectable system to support the full intelligence cycle by intercepting selected voice and data communications flow from several Satellite systems
